Original Gangstaz iPhone Game
For the past few days I've been playing the 'Original Gangstaz' game for the iPhone & iPod Touch. I have several of these types of games on my phone for testing/evaluating. Each of them is a 'build a big gang' type of game such as iMobsters and Vampires Live and others which I've played for the better part of a year.
This game gets everything right. Social networking, monetary balance, risk/rewards, personalization, graphical immersion are all handled and balanced very well. Enough so that I'm writing this short review.
After installing the game you'll first create a character, choosing a color and a 'hood. Once you've done this you will be jumped in to a local gang and the fun begins. By doing jobs you get money, with money you buy weapons, rides, bling, etc. to get stronger so you can fight and win against chumps who have yet to figure out it's fight or die.
Build as big a gang as you can and equip them with the best to make sure you win.
You'll also earn lotto tickets for playing daily, and can earn more doing other tasks. There are two types of tickets - money and weapons. These play just like lotto tickets and you have to 'scratch' them to reveal your winnings.

Announcing the oPhone In America we are rapidly crashing into the abyss. There are at least 50 million Americans that don't have affordable cell phones available to them. The Administration today announced a new program to create or save over 300,00 jobs in the next 10 years. The new program will create an affordable alternative to the iPhone (and all other cell phones) and subsidize it with a single payer system.
The new oPhone has initially been announced with the capability to make calls, send/receive text messages, supports MMS, has a 5MP camera with video, plays music and videos and can function as an alarm clock. It will sport a touch screen, dual headphone jacks, WiFi, and Bluetooth. All of these features will be available on launch day. The administration, when asked, did admit that certain features may be turned off or removed entirely if costs become prohibitive but didn't think that would ever happen.
The new oPhone will be made using green technologies. While it's 5 minutes talk time and 15 minutes of standby might seem small the phone comes standard with a solar charger which can completely re-charge the battery with 4 hours of full sunshine. An optional propeller power attachment can be used to recharge the battery and is most efficient at doing so when the user is running faster than 10mph. The oPhone also comes with a wall charger, but to encourage use of the green recharge options the wall charger has been designed to take over 11 hours to recharge the battery.
Some unpatriotic cell carriers are objecting to the announcement of a government phone but are expected initially to attempt to compete with the oPhone. The Administration felt that it was important to create it's own cell phone now to directly compete with the private sector to keep the private sector honest. It's been long felt that cell phone carriers are generating great profits benefiting their shareholders more than the general public and the new oPhone would make cell phone use “more fair”.

Apple TV 250GB Upgrade complete!!
By following most of the directions found
hereI recently upgraded my 40GB AppleTV to 250GB.
I used this drive I found at
neweggI tried very hard to do exactly the steps in the tutorial for creating the new media partition and formatting it. After many attempts ending in failure I gave up and tried the way I've outlined below. I think it's easier than the extra steps in the tutorial which don't actually gain you anything anyway, you'll still have to re-sync all your media to the new drive either way, so take the easier way.
To make things a little easier for you if you decide to do the same thing here's what worked for me and will likely save you time and frustration.
1) I bought a used/refurbished 40GB appletv off of ebay to help keep costs down.
2) I used this drive adapter
from Amazon with a firewire drive enclosure instead of USB and shortened the drive copy times significantly. I made a full backup copy of the original drive and only copied back the 1335 blocks to the new drive as suggested.
3) I followed the directions exactly up until the step which deletes slice 4 (the Media slice) from the drive. It looks like "
gpt remove -i 4 disk2 (although my disk was disk6). Do this step and then the step which is
"sudo rm -rf /Volumes/OSBoot/.Spotlight-V100" on the OSBoot partition ONLY, eject the disk and then place the new drive into your appletv.
4) The appletv will boot. Migrate to 'perform factory reset' and do it. After a few minutes your appletv should show that it has 228GB (or so) of free space. Perform the upgrade to the new version of the AppleTV software (2.0.1 as of this writing) and you are all set. Be patient - the upgrade takes a while and requires numerous re-boots but expect it to finish in under 30 minutes.
Hope this helps you if you try this upgrade path.
Global warming labeled a 'scam'
"The Great Global Warming Scandal" is a show about to air on BBC television. It will challenge all of the "Global Warming" hysteria happening currently and expose it for what it is - a scam. The link goes to a washington times article about the show.
